Job summary

IMO seeks a senior leader to head the Internal Oversight and Ethics Office, reporting to the Secretary-General. You will set strategic priorities, guide governance, risk management, and integrity initiatives across the Organization, and manage audits, evaluations, and investigations to ensure accountability and high standards of ethics.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, interact with executive leadership, and coordinate with international partners to uphold the Organization's governance

Qualifications

• 15 years of progressive professional experience with 5 years in senior management in oversight/ethics.
• Experience in development/management of oversight or ethics programmes and management of resources.
• Experience at senior UN/government/maritime sectors would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide authoritative advice to the Secretary-General on all matters within the Office.
• Lead and oversee audits, evaluations, investigations, and ethics in line with UNEG standards.
• Direct handling of confidential misconduct cases and ensure due process.
