RSM UK is seeking an Ethics and Independence Director to support the Independence team in delivering on independence and ethics requirements across Tax and Consulting lines. The role focuses on developing systems, processes and controls in line with regulatory standards, while advising service lines to maintain compliance.

You will lead projects, enhance data monitoring within GIA, and manage junior team members.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience of similar roles within leading professional services firms applying ethical standards and similar regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of IESBA Code of Ethics and FRC Ethical Standard for auditors is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply rules in a practical way.
• Strong risk management knowledge and application in practice.
• Excellent written and oral communication with all levels of staff.

Responsabilités

• Respond to ethical and independence queries from partners and staff across the firm; liaise with senior members to resolve queries.
• Design and implement systems, controls, ISQM1 requirements, and support the ethics function's strategy.
• Lead projects to enhance Independence Team systems and processes; KPI reporting.
• Drive integration of Global Independence Assessment (GIA) within client engagement software.
• Develop training materials on ethics and independence; support regulator queries and compliance testing.
