Cheltenham Animal Shelter, part of Gloucestershire Animal Welfare Association, is recruiting a Head of Fundraising to lead the charity’s fundraising income and supporter engagement. The role is based at Cheltenham Animal Shelter with hybrid working options and a 38.75 hour week; salary £40,000-£51,000 depending on experience, with pension and sick pay.

You will set strategy, develop trusts, grants, major gifts, and campaigns, manage a small team of 3–4 staff, work with the Senior Management

Qualifications

• Proven income growth through fundraising leadership.
• Experience managing teams and budgets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development and delivery of a fundraising strategy to achieve income targets.
• Manage the fundraising team, set priorities, and ensure volunteer support.
• Develop trusts, foundations and corporate partnerships; oversee funding applications.
• Oversee donor acquisition, retention and legacy giving to build sustainable income.
• Lead digital and traditional fundraising campaigns with strong storytelling.
• Ensure excellent supporter care and effective use of CRM for data and insights.
• Support events, community engagement and partnerships to raise income.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting to management.
