Job summary

DealHub Ltd., an FCA-regulated consumer financial services business based in Liverpool, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function, guide strategy and deliver robust governance.

This hands-on, investor-backed role requires strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow control, with the ability to challenge assumptions and collaborate with the leadership team to drive growth and value.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models to assess potential outcomes and implications for business valuation.
• Oversee controls and reconciliations across a high-volume payments operation and support automation.
• Ensure robust processes meet client money requirements and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop the finance team, systems and processes to support evolving business.

Chief Financial Officer

Up to £150,000+ base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus

The Company

An FCA-regulated consumer financial services business in Liverpool. It has around 50 staff, it’s growing, and it’s hiring a confident, commercially minded CFO to lead its finance function and play a central role in business strategy.

This is a hands‑on opportunity within an entrepreneurial, investor‑backed environment. You’ll combine strong financial governance with commercial insight, providing clear reporting, constructive challenge and credible leadership.

The role

Working closely with the leadership team and investors, you will:

• Take ownership of financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, statutory reporting, tax and financial controls.
• Manage investor relationships, communicating performance clearly and challenging assumptions where necessary.
• Deliver accurate, insightful management information covering performance, risks, cash requirements and commercial opportunities.
• Develop financial models to assess potential claims outcomes, payment timing and their implications for business valuation.
• Oversee controls and reconciliations across a high-volume payments operation, supporting effective automation.
• Ensure robust processes meet applicable client money requirements and lead engagement with external auditors.
• Develop the finance team, systems and processes to support the business as it evolves.

About you

You’ll be an experienced CFO or Finance Director who is comfortable taking ownership, influencing decisions and operating close to the detail.

You will bring:

• A recognised accountancy qualification and broad experience leading a finance function.
• Strong investor management skills, with the confidence to handle challenging conversations constructively.
• Excellent financial modelling, scenario analysis and management reporting capabilities.
• Experience in a regulated business, with sound knowledge of financial controls, governance and audit.
• A practical, adaptable approach suited to an entrepreneurial environment.
• Clear judgement, resilience and the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.

Experience in claims management would be particularly valuable. A fintech or payments background, especially involving high-volume transactions, would also be relevant.
