Job summary

Harper May Limited is recruiting for a finance professional to lead regulatory reporting and own the FCA submissions in a private equity backed wealth management group.

You will work with the Financial Controller, run the month-end close, and prepare consolidated group reporting. The role offers hybrid London working and a clear path to Financial Controller within 12–24 months.

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Hands-on FCA regulatory reporting experience in wealth or asset management.
• Strong technical grounding in financial reporting and consolidation.
• Experience of month-end close and audit within a group structure.
• Ambition to progress to Financial Controller with a proven track record.
• Careful, organised approach with ability to own reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the year-end audit and statutory accounts.
• Strengthen controls, processes and documentation across financial and regulatory reporting.
• Deputise for the Financial Controller and provide continuity across the function.
• Work with the CFO and FP&A on reporting improvements and new systems.

Job description

A private equity backed wealth management group is strengthening its finance team under a newly appointed CFO.This role sits at the heart of the group's financial and regulatory reporting, with a clear path to Financial Controller.

You will work alongside the Financial Controller, take ownership of regulatory reporting, and build the knowledge and relationships to step up into the Financial Controller role within the next year or two.The CFO is investing in the team and in better systems, so this is a chance to make the reporting process your own and be developed for the next level, in a finance function that is growing rather than standing still.

London based, hybrid working, with a salary of £85,000 to £100,000 plus benefits.

The Role
