We are seeking a dynamic, values-driven Chief Financial Officer to join the Board of UHMB, a forward-thinking NHS provider dedicated to delivering outstanding care to our communities. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future at a time of significant transformation across the NHS.

About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer will play an active role in determining and implementing clinical, corporate, and improvement strategies to achieve clinical transformation and financial sustainability across the Bay and the Lancashire and South Cumbria integrated care system. As a full voting member of the Board of Directors, the CFO will be an Executive Director and a key player in the organisation's corporate affairs.

2. Lead the strategic direction of the Trust, focusing on sustainability and transformation.
3. Oversee safety, quality of care, workforce leadership, and external partner relationships.

Organisational Context

Our organisation operates from three main hospitals—Furness General Hospital, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital—along with community healthcare premises across Morecambe Bay. We are engaged in significant regional development projects, including the Eden Project North and the Government’s submarine building programme.
