An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a Chief Finance Officer to lead transformative care initiatives. This full-time role offers flexibility and involves overseeing financial stability while implementing a new electronic patient record system. The ideal candidate will have experience at board level and a chartered accountancy qualification, with a strong focus on partnership development within the community. Join a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality care and making a significant impact in the health sector.
We’re proud to be different. Whether it’s for being one of the first NHS trusts in England to provide joined-up hospital, community, and social care services, or being at the forefront of the NHS’ digital revolution with our human-led digital innovation programmes, we love being a leader in what we do. Providing high-quality safe care really matters to us.
We have more than 6,000 dedicated people delivering compassionate health and social care in people’s homes, in our communities, and across more than 15 sites in Torbay and South Devon, including our main acute hospital at Torbay Hospital.
As our Chief Finance Officer, you will be committed to delivering sustainable, transformative care. You will have the experience needed to lead and direct our plans to bring long-lasting value, financial stability, and sustainability across our large and complex organization, aligning with our strategic priorities to improve health and care for all.
With experience working at or near board level and understanding our role as an anchor institution for the community, you will recognize the importance of forging effective partnerships with our staff, community groups, and other parts of the health and care system. Your ability to develop and maintain these partnerships will be critical to driving the change we need.
Our exciting plans to implement a new electronic patient record by 2026 will be transformative, helping us to share information, deliver care, and improve efficiency across Devon.
However, like many trusts, we are managing rising demand and workforce pressures with limited resources. We are subject to the national oversight framework (NOF4) and are working with partners across Devon to deliver a plan that ensures financial stability and improved performance.
If you are a chartered accountant operating at deputy or board level within a trust, system, regulatory, or similar environment, and are motivated by our challenge with the skills and experience to lead our recovery and beyond, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time role with some flexibility regarding location, blended with travel and remote work.
