Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced leader to take strategic responsibility for equality, diversity, and inclusion across the Trust. The post reports to the Deputy Director of People and provides assurance to the Board and executive team while delivering the Equality Delivery System, WRES and WDES programmes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or demonstrable equivalent experience at master's level in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic EDI leadership across the Trust
• Give expert advice and assurance to the Trust Board, Executive Team and senior leaders
• Ensure the Trust meets its statutory equality responsibilities
• Lead delivery of the Equality Delivery System, WRES and WDES programmes
• Shape and embed an inclusive culture and deliver measurable improvements in inclusion, workforce experience and culture
• Work with staff networks, trade unions, community groups and system partners
• Interpret equality and human rights legislation for the organisation
• Develop and implement EDI policy and strategy
• Work with stakeholders on patient safety and experience so lessons are learned and changes made
• Present to the Board and external bodies, and write reports for the Chief Executive and Board
• Support staff to complete Due Regard analysis
• Manage mediation and confidential EDI matters, including case records
