Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior leader to drive education, apprenticeships, learning & development and widening participation. The post shapes roles and learning pathways across clinical, operational and system partners, aligning with evolving care models and workforce needs.

With a strong clinical background, you will influence strategy, governance and culture, delivering learning interventions and partnerships to support sustainable improvements in care

Qualifications

• Master's-level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Relevant professional qualification in learning and development, organisational development, education, workforce or healthcare.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Extensive senior leadership experience in learning, education, workforce or organisational development, including developing and implementing strategies.
• Leading multidisciplinary or specialist teams across multiple services or locations.
• Managing budgets, resources, contracts and external funding streams.
• Track record in change management, service improvement, efficiency and performance management.
• Developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and education providers.
• Commissioning, delivering and evaluating learning or OD interventions, with project and programme delivery to time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Implement the trust's strategic vision so it has the workforce capacity and capability to deliver the 28 Promises
• Lead education, apprenticeships, learning and development and widening participation
• Ensure robust education governance
• Work with clinical, operational, system and education partners to shape roles, skills and learning pathways
• Respond to changing patient needs, technological advances and new models of care through learning design
• Act as an influencer for the trust's ambition to build an inclusive culture where people grow and thrive
