Job summary

V.Group is seeking a Chief Engineer for a Ro-Ro vessel to lead the Engine Department on shipboard assignment. The role is contract-based with joining date 03 November 2026 and reports to the Master for safe operation and maintenance of all marine machinery and electrical systems.

The candidate will manage engineering officers, ensure PMS compliance, and oversee environmental, safety, and classification requirements while supervising bunkering and fuel/oil/waste management.

Qualifications

• Requires Chief Engineer unlimited license and shipboard leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage engine department and PMS compliance.
• Experience with fuel/oil/waste management and Oil Record Book.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engine Department and ensure safe operation of all shipboard machinery.
• Supervise engineering officers and ratings; implement Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and ensure safety and environmental compliance.
• Oversee fuel, lubricating oils and waste management, Oil Record Book accuracy, and bunkering operations.
