Job summary

Ocean Infinity, a leading unit within Ocean Infinity Group, seeks a Chief Engineer (Marine Defence Systems) to provide technical leadership across complex maritime and autonomous programmes. You will own the technical baseline, chair reviews, and ensure solutions meet safety, regulatory and operational requirements.

You will act as the senior engineering authority, coordinating across customers, suppliers and programme leadership while mentoring teams and delivering system-of-systems

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Chief Engineer or senior engineering leader responsible for complex system development.
• Experience delivering complex maritime, defence, aerospace or autonomous systems programmes.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage technical suppliers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Design Authority and technical lead for major maritime defence programmes.
• Own and maintain the programme technical baseline, including requirements, architecture, interfaces and configuration control.
• Lead system integration across platforms, payloads, software, autonomy, communications and sensing technologies.
• Chair technical reviews and provide governance across requirements management, V&V, technical risk and configuration management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable defence, safety, security and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the senior technical interface with customers, suppliers and programme leadership.
• Provide independent technical oversight, balancing performance, risk, cost and schedule considerations.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive engineering excellence across the organisation.
