Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Mission Systems Division in Wimborne, UK is seeking a Chief Engineer to provide technical leadership across Air-to-Air Refuelling systems, hose & drogues, probes and actuation products. You will set technology roadmaps, approve designs, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve complex challenges.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10 years in aerospace or high‑tech NPD, and 5 years in actuation systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; 10 years aerospace or high‑tech NPD/sustaining work.
5 years’ experience in mechanical or electrical actuation components and/or systems.
ITAR regulations eligibility – security clearance required or ability to obtain.
DFSS Greenbelt/Blackbelt certification or plan towards Blackbelt.
Experience leading complex engineering programmes with governance across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical authority and SME for AAR and Actuation products across the business.
Lead complex engineering programmes, ensuring technical completeness, compliance and delivery.
Develop and execute technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives and strategic engineering activities.
Review, generate and approve technical solutions and design integrity across programmes.
Coach, mentor and develop engineers; lead RCCA investigations and 8D problem solving.
