Job description

Join us as a Chief Data Office Communications and Engagement Business Partner, where you will play a key role in shaping the Group Chief Data Office's People Agenda. In this dynamic position, you will design and implement strategic plans for communications, education, and people engagement. You will manage internal communication platforms such as SharePoint and intranet sites, lead key communication initiatives including town halls and newsletters, and deliver regular progress updates on people engagement initiatives to senior management. Additionally, you will develop and deliver the Chief Data Office (CDO) training strategy, collaborating with the CDO Change Delivery team to ensure effective training and communication plans are implemented for key projects.

To be successful, you should have:

  • Expertise in developing and implementing effective communication strategies.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to present confidently to senior audiences.
  • Hands-on experience developing SharePoint for managing and maintaining internal communications.
  • Ability to produce engaging media content.
  • Experience in designing informative and effective training materials.

Additional valued skills include:

  • Experience working within a Chief Data Office environment.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.

You may be assessed on key skills such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and technical skills.

This is a hybrid role based in Knutsford or Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

To build strong partnerships with senior leadership, advising on employee engagement strategies to achieve business goals through insightful communication and outstanding execution.

Accountabilities
  • Leadership communication based on detailed insight research to help leaders understand employee sentiment and communicate empathetically.
  • Aligning business strategy and building belief in organizational progress, emphasizing employee impact on client experience.
  • Designing communication interventions to influence behavior, fostering a positive culture.
  • Creating communication strategies for organizational change to build commitment and capability.
  • Managing crises and issues, working with senior teams to engage employees in client engagement.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team, enhancing skills and capabilities.

  • Contributing to strategy, managing resources, budgets, policies, and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Leading teams or acting as a subject matter expert, guiding technical directions, and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Advising stakeholders on functional impacts and risks, managing risks, and demonstrating leadership behaviors.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Creating solutions through analytical thinking and extensive research.
  • Maintaining trust and partnerships internally and externally to achieve key objectives.
