Job summary

The AA is seeking a Head of Data Governance to design, embed and lead a Group-wide operating model that ensures trusted data across business units. You will partner with senior leaders across Data, Technology, Risk and Compliance to establish domain ownership, stewardship and governance by design.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and rolling out a data governance operating model in a large/regulated organisation.
• Strong knowledge of data ownership, stewardship, metadata, lineage, data quality and governance by design.
• Hands-on experience selecting and implementing enterprise data governance tooling (Purview and similar).
• Understanding of risk, privacy, compliance and regulatory expectations in data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, rollout and embed a critical data governance operating model across the Group with data owners and stewards.
• Embed governance controls into business and technology change to protect data, reporting and customer outcomes.
• Own Group-wide oversight of data and reporting risk, including KRIs and audit actions across Data and AI.
• Deliver enterprise-grade data governance tooling in a modern lakehouse environment.
