- Experiencing typical scale-up challenges such as immature operating models and commercial structures.
- Several deep dives completed; now understanding pain points and opportunities.
- Opportunity to reshape the business with new senior commercial leadership.
Strategic Goals:
- Transition from a founder-led scale-up to a mature, scalable SaaS business.
- Implement operational control across customer excellence, sales, and account management.
- Build an end-to-end commercial model supporting delivery and growth.
- Focus initially on stabilising the UK market, then explore international expansion (France and US).
Purpose:
Own and deliver the commercial strategy, professionalise operations, and support scaling.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies in sales, account management, and customer success.
- Manage client delivery, operations, and team accountability.
- Oversee compliance, billing, and service delivery performance.
- Collaborate with product leadership to align market needs and operational insights.
- Establish performance tracking, forecasting, and reporting frameworks.
- Operate as the day-to-day commercial lead during the founder's transition to a product-focused role.
- Support long-term international expansion, with a focus on stabilising the UK business.
Experience:
- Deep SaaS commercial leadership experience, preferably in growth or scale-up environments.
- Track record leading customer-facing teams in founder-led businesses.
- Comfortable in ambiguous, high-growth, non-corporate settings.
- Proven ability to implement structure and processes across sales, customer success, and operations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including with founders.
- Ability to quickly adapt and gain traction in fast-moving organisations.
- Based in the UK, with immediate focus on the UK market.
Team Structure:
- Reports to the product-focused founder.
- Direct reports include Head of Sales, Head of Accounts, and Customer Excellence leads.
- Works closely with internal leadership on future organisational structure and delivery oversight.
