Job summary

Siemens Energy, Grid Technologies division, seeks a Head of Civil Engineering to lead a multi-disciplinary civil team delivering projects across Great Britain and Ireland. You will collaborate with Engineering Managers, Operations Managers and Project Managers to align engineering activities with strategic objectives and oversee the full life cycle from FEED to delivery.

You will mentor engineers, develop technical standards, manage resources and budgets, ensure safety and compliance, and

Qualifications

Degree or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering, typically 10 years of professional managerial experience.
Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
Willingness to travel to global engineering teams, construction partners, and UK sites.
Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering standards for TSOs, DNOs and renewables in GB & Ireland.
Health and safety focus, including CDM regulations, and experience in building services coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver civil projects within Grid Technologies.
Define policies, processes and methods to fulfil the civil delivery strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.
Manage resources and budgets; drive development of technical standards and procedures.
Oversee civil execution sub-contracts and ensure delivery quality.
Promote digital construction solutions and IEC19650 across projects.
