Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited, Grid Technologies division, is seeking a Head of Civil Engineering to lead a dynamic team delivering civil engineering solutions across Great Britain and Ireland.

You will work with Engineering Managers, Operations Managers and Project Managers to oversee full life cycle, supply chain, tender, FEED, and delivery, including subcontractor management and compliance with regional regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of civil engineering teams.
• Experience in EPC delivery and HVDC projects.
• Knowledge of regional regulations and safety standards.

Job description

As the Head of Civil Engineering for Siemens Energy's Grid Technologies division, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for delivering civil engineering solutions across various projects in Great Britain and Ireland. You will collaborate closely with Engineering Managers, Operations Managers, and Project Managers to ensure that all engineering activities align with our strategic objectives. Your role will involve overseeing the full life cycle of civil engineering and delivery for the business, including supply chain management and engagement, customer-facing activities through business development, tender, negotiation, FEED, and delivery phases, the management and production/procurement of civil engineering designs, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety, as well as the management of civil sub-contractors throughout the project delivery phase. In this position, you will foster a culture of excellence within your team, driving the development of technical standards and procedures while mentoring less experienced engineers. Your leadership will have a significant impact on project delivery, ensuring that we meet our commitments to clients and stakeholders. Our projects encompass the EPC multi-disciplinary delivery of HVDC interconnectors, offshore HVDC connected wind farms, offshore HVAC connected wind farms, and grid stabilization systems for TSO and DNO customers.
