Job summary

Housing Plus Group is seeking a strategic Head of Building Compliance to lead safety and regulatory compliance across its housing portfolio. You will provide leadership, expert guidance and operational accountability to ensure safe homes and compliant services.

You will translate evolving regulations into effective policies, manage risk-based programmes and drive performance improvements while collaborating with senior stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• CIH Level 4 qualification or willing to work towards it.
• Extensive knowledge of statutory building compliance and safety requirements in social housing.
• Experience implementing/managing compliance services under Building Safety Act.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead all building compliance services ensuring statutory obligations are met.
• Translate Building Safety Act requirements into policies and delivery models.
• Oversee safety cases, information and assurance for in-scope buildings.
• Develop risk-based, cost-effective compliance programmes and services.
• Drive performance using data and benchmarking for value for money.
• Provide visible leadership and foster a strong safety culture.
