Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join our Finance team. You will lead financial reporting, close processes, and external audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance and robust governance across the organisation.

As a senior finance leader, you will collaborate with Group Finance, drive improvements, support statutory reporting and taxation, and enable strategic investment for performance on and off the track.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting across the business.
• Own month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies and governance frameworks.
• Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions and key accounting adjustments.
• Prepare management, Board and Group reporting packs, delivering clear financial insight and analysis.
• Lead the annual external audit process and manage relationships with auditors.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning and wider strategic initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, systems enhancements and finance transformation projects.

The Role

As Chief Accountant, you will lead the financial reporting and control activities of the business, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant reporting for both local and Group requirements. You will oversee the month‑end and year‑end close processes, manage external audits, support statutory reporting and taxation activities, and ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained across the organisation.

As a key member of the Finance leadership team, you will partner with Group Finance, external advisors and business leaders to drive continuous improvement, strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and reporting requirements. You will also play an important role in supporting the team's ongoing development, helping Finance evolve alongside the demands of a world‑class Formula One operation.
