Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is hiring for a chicken breast processing role at the Willand site. The position runs Monday to Friday from 05:30 to 14:30, with an early finish on Tuesday at 13:30, giving you every weekend off.

The rate for this role is £13.11 per hour, with other shift patterns and rates of pay available upon enquiry. Join the Chicken Portions department and help process and pack products to customer specifications while maintaining high food safety standards.

Job description

The Willand site is part of the UK Poultry division in 2 Sisters Food Group.

Willand has around 1000 employees and has been open and processing for over 100 years.

Many of our colleagues have developed from Production to Management, indeed our Willand Site Director was once a Production Operative.

The rate for the Chicken breast processing role is£13.11 ph.

The hours of work for this position will beMonday - Friday,05:30am - 14:30pmwith an early finish on Tuesday of 13:30pm. This will give you every weekend off.

Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.

In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.

You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat

You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets
