Job summary

Rudy's in Chester is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high‑performing front‑of‑house team and work closely with the Senior leaders to drive restaurant performance. The role is fast-paced, hands-on and rewards strong execution of guest experience and standards.

You will support recruitment, onboarding and training as the team grows, with a clear path to Deputy or General Manager roles within a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a management or senior supervisory role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to motivate people.
• Commercial awareness with labour, budgets, and P&L basics.
• Passion for great food and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in leading a high-performing front-of-house team.
• Run shifts independently and own the floor when on duty.
• Build and maintain a positive team culture.
• Drive standards across service, guest experience and compliance on every shift.
• Manage labour, scheduling and day-to-day cost awareness.
• Identify and develop talent within the team, including future supervisors/managers.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with confidence and judgment.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training as the team grows.

Position: Assistant Manager

Salary: £32,900 | Tips & Tronc Monthly | Up to 32% Bonus Per Annum paid Quarterly

Contract: Full time

This is a big role for someone who's ready for it. As Assistant Manager at Rudy's, you'll work closely with the Senior leaders on site to drive the performance of the restaurant, from team culture and guest experience through to standards. It's fast-paced, it's hands-on, and it's genuinely rewarding when you get it right.

• Supporting the General Manager in leading a high-performing front-of-house team
• Running shifts independently and owning the floor completely when it's yours to run
