Our client in Stevenage is seeking a Chemistry Technician to join their team. The role involves supporting a dynamic chemistry group across R&D and production environments on a global scale.

The candidate should have a science degree with lab experience and be proficient in MS Office, with strong communication and organisational skills. The job is based on-site in Stevenage with opportunities for growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ months lab experience, or equivalent science A-levels with 2+ years lab experience.
• Knowledge of organic chemistry and/or membrane fabrication techniques.
• Experience with analytical methods is advantageous but on-the-job training provided.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with chemists, materials scientists, engineers and biologists to support activities including membrane fabrication and materials analysis.
• Perform chemical modification of Fibro membranes supporting R&D and production.
• Conduct routine lab testing such as Raman Spectroscopy, DSC, SEM, FT-IR, BET and dry weight testing.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Laboratory Health and Safety standards.
• Lab management support including inventory of chemicals and arranging deliveries between sites.
• Document and arrange safe disposal of all laboratory waste.
• Take detailed lab notes and clearly communicate results to the team.
