Chemistry Technician
Permanent, Full-Time, Term-Time Plus Two Weeks
We are seeking to appoint a Chemistry Technician to assist with efficiently managing practical requests across Chemistry, providing technical support to Chemistry lessons and related activities, and supporting the Lead Chemistry Technician in ensuring health and safety standards are upheld in practical Chemistry work and the Chemistry prep areas.
The Chemistry Technician will work as part of a team to provide a service that ensures the safe, effective, and efficient use of resources to support the science curriculum. Although the post generally specializes in one science, there is a requirement to assist in other subject areas as reasonably required.
The position is line managed by the Lead Technician, with day-to-day responsibilities overseen by the Lead Chemistry Technician.
The salary for this post will be up to Point 24 on the Whitgift Foundation Support Staff Salary Scale. The full-time salary will be up to £36,953 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The Pro-rata salary for this post will be up to £29,562.40 gross per annum, reflecting Term Time plus two weeks.
