Class Act Teaching Services is recruiting a Chemistry Teacher for a high-achieving 11-18 Oxfordshire school. The role covers KS3/KS4 with potential KS5 for experienced candidates, in a supportive department, aiming to inspire excellence.

The school is part of Ridgeway Education Trust and seeks a passionate science specialist with robust content knowledge and excellent classroom management. January 2027 start. Full-time, long-term.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an exceptional 11-18 secondary school in Oxfordshire for an enthusiastic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Science specialist to join a high-achieving department and inspire students through engaging Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.

Duties as a Chemistry Teacher:

• Teach Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons
• Support students in developing scientific knowledge and investigative skills
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Ideal Chemistry Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Chemistry within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge across the Chemistry curriculum
• Ability to teach Science at Key Stage 3
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
