Job summary

Teaching Personnel are partnered with a welcoming secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, seeking a talented Chemistry Teacher to join on a full-time basis from January 2027. The role is suitable for a qualified Chemistry specialist passionate about inspiring students across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching for experienced candidates.

Holders of QTS with UK secondary school experience are invited to apply.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with eligible to work in the UK.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry in a UK secondary school setting preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Contribute to a thriving Science department and uphold high standards of behaviour.

Chemistry Teacher (QTS Required) - Full-Time

Start Date: January 2027
Salary: MPS/UPS dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-respected mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire, who are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry to join their Science department on a full-time basis from January 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Chemistry specialist who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.

The Role:
  • Full-time Chemistry Teacher position
  • Starting January 2027
  • Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress
  • Contributing positively to a thriving Science department
  • Upholding high standards of behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching Chemistry within a UK secondary school setting
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • Is committed to raising attainment and inspiring learners
  • Has a proactive, positive and professional approach to teaching
  • Possesses strong communication and organisational skills
