Job summary

Veolia in Aldridge, West Midlands, is seeking a Chemist to analyse plant and customer samples and to support the Technical Manager. The role involves maintaining computerised records, equipment maintenance and general laboratory duties in a busy site.

The position is a 40-hour week with rotating early and late shifts (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00), offering Veolia benefits and development opportunities as part of a committed environmental team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse plant and incoming customer samples in line with company procedures, quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assess incoming bulk deliveries, record vehicle details and maintain accurate computerised records.
• Support the Technical Manager and Senior Chemist with laboratory equipment maintenance, paperwork and general lab duties.
• Maintain high standards of laboratory cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping.
• Help promote health, safety, environmental awareness and compliance with the site's EPR permit.

£28,000.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours:
