Job summary

Crown Peterborough is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to support the production of high-quality cans in a fast-paced plant. The role covers washers, water treatment and filtration tasks, with a focus on maintaining equipment within operating parameters and assisting trials and installations.

You will join a site-based team on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern, benefiting from a pension scheme, healthcare, and a clear progression path within a global leader in packaging.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent in a mechanical or chemical discipline is essential.
• Experience working with chemicals in a production or engineering setting is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a shift-based, site-based environment with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, water treatment and filtration systems to support can production.
• Perform running repairs and adjustments to keep equipment within operating parameters.
• Assist in trials and installation/commissioning of equipment and size changeovers.
• Support continuous improvement and adherence to health and safety standards.
