Job summary

Crown Peterborough is seeking a Chemical Process Operator to join a high‑performing manufacturing team. You will support the production of high‑quality cans, manage washers, water treatment and filtration systems, and perform running repairs in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires a Level 3 Apprenticeship in a mechanical or chemical discipline, with safety and continuous improvement at the core. A 4 on/4 off shift pattern and clear progression within a global organisation are offered.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent in mechanical or chemical discipline.
• Experience working with chemicals in a production or engineering setting.
• Can washer and water treatment process experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers, water treatment and filtration systems.
• Conduct running repairs and adjustments to keep equipment within parameters.
• Assist in trials and installation/commissioning of equipment and size changeovers.

The Opportunity

Join our team and play a vital role in supporting the production of high-quality printed cans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You'll be responsible for washers, water treatment and filtration systems, conducting running repairs and adjustments to maintain equipment within specified operating parameters. You will assist in trials and installation/commissioning of equipment and size changeovers.
