Job summary

SKILLED WORKERS CLOUD in the UK is seeking a Chef Second Chef to manage grill duties, prepare and present dishes to exacting standards, and support the Head Chef. You will focus on taste, presentation, and consistency across service.

As a senior line cook you’ll supervise kitchen staff, adjust recipes to meet customer requests, and ensure hygiene and safety throughout the kitchen during busy periods. Flexibility and pressure handling are essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting grill dishes to the appropriate standards
• Assisting Head Chef and prepare and cook food
• Responsible for flavour and presentation, ensure food tastes great and looks appealing
• Ensures hygiene health and safety standards are maintained within the kitchen
• Modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
• Supervise, organise, and instruct kitchen staff members so they perform at their best
• Requisitions appropriate supply and examines food stuff from supplier to ensure quality
• Plans and coordinates kitchen works such as fetching, clearing and cleaning of equipment and utensils
• To work under pressure during an extremely busy period.
