Job summary

Enhance Catering is recruiting a Chef Manager to support a busy primary school catering operation in Leicestershire. You will lead a hands-on kitchen team, maintain high standards, and ensure fresh, seasonal meals for 400+ covers across multiple outlets.

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef, Chef Manager, or Cook Manager who can motivate staff, manage stock and safety compliance, and build strong relationships with onsite stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and staff development ability
• Proven track record in high-volume catering environments

• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
• Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation

Enhance Catering is supporting a valued client in recruiting a Chef Manager to support the catering operation at there busy primary school in Leicestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands‑on chef who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high‑quality food service.

You will be an experienced Chef Manager, Cook Manager or Strong Head Chef ready to step up, with excellent cooking and people-management skills. You take pride in running a well‑organised, efficient kitchen and are confident producing high‑quality meals at volume.

What You'll be doing

What Is On Offer

• Pay Rate - Up to £27,000 per annum
• Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week | 7.00am to 3pm

Essential Requirement for this role:

• Commute time within an hour of Melton Mowbray
• Previous Head Chef, Chef Manager, Cook Manager experience (ideally B&I, Education or Healthcare)
• Strong Management & Chef background
