Job summary

Sushi Gourmet is recruiting a full-time Chef Manager to lead our team at the new Manchester site, located at 19-25 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 1LU. Morning shift starts as early as 6:00am and the role involves managing the kiosk, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer service.

You’ll need proven leadership experience, a passion for quality sushi, and the ability to train and develop staff. We offer a competitive hourly rate up to 15 GBP, a frontline role with progression

Qualifications

Experience leading people and building team capability.
Ability to work early shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations.
Reliable transport for early-morning shifts.

Responsibilities

Lead the kiosk and team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and food safety on site.
Prepare fresh ingredients by hand and label products accurately.
Develop and train staff to deliver high-quality sushi products.

And can:

Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
Be a skilled multitasker
An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
