Job summary

Berkeley Scott in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead school and education catering on a temporary basis from September. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, deliver high-quality meals, and ensure food safety and hygiene in a busy education setting.

The role requires leadership experience, an enhanced DBS, Food Safety Level 2, and allergen awareness, with a strong focus on staff development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef Manager or in a senior chef role.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (essential).
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required.
• Food Allergen Awareness certificate required.
• Experience in education or contract catering desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
