Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting experienced School Chef Managers to work across primary and secondary schools. You will manage daily kitchen operations, lead a catering team and ensure nutritious meals meet safety standards.

Roles involve stock control, budgeting and liaising with school staff. Relevant DBS and Food Safety certificates are required, with transport desirable for multi-site work.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager in an education catering environment.
  • Food Safety Level 2 Certificate (Level 3 is advantageous).
  • Food Allergen Awareness Certificate.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Own transport is desirable due to travel between school sites.

Chef Manager - Birmingham & Surrounding Areas

£18.00-£24.00+ per hour | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Agency Work


Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting experienced School Chef Managers to work across primary and secondary schools In Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding areas. If you have experience managing a busy school kitchen, leading a catering team, and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to students, we'd love to hear from you. We have a variety of ongoing temporary assignments available, offering flexible working and competitive rates of pay.


The Role

As a School Chef Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a school kitchen, ensuring meals are prepared and served to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.


Your responsibilities will include:



  • Managing the daily operation of a busy school kitchen.

  • Leading, supervising and motivating the catering team.

  • Preparing and serving fresh, nutritious meals.

  • Managing stock, ordering and kitchen budgets.

What We\'re Looking For

To be considered, you should have:
