Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. seeks an experienced Chef Manager in Bedford to lead day‑to‑day catering operations for a site hosting around 450 people. The role oversees production, service, and budget delivery while maintaining high food quality and customer service standards.

You will work closely with the operations manager to ensure consistent delivery of hospitality and events, manage staff development, and uphold safety and company policies across all dining facilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering excellent food standards.
• Experience leading catering teams and managing budgets.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the catering team with day‑to‑day production and service for member and staff dining facilities across the site.
• Manage the location budget and monthly/annual Profit & Loss statements.
• Develop and implement food offers in line with client expectations and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Thomas Franks policies, health and safety, and service standards.
