Mai Sushi in Ellesmere Port is recruiting a full-time Chef Manager (35 hours) to lead our team at Mai Sushi - Cheshire Oaks, Stanney Woods Avenue, Ellesmere Port, CH65 9GZ. We seek an enthusiastic leader with a can-do attitude who delivers high-quality, sustainable food and excellent customer service.

You will guide a team, ensure food safety compliance, follow brand standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading people to build confidence and capability in your team.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while leading by example.
• Pride in your work with continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kiosk team to meet audit standards for food safety and hygiene.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safe food handling on site.
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish.
• Be an early riser; shifts can start at 6:00am.
• Learn new skills and improve existing ones.
