Sanctuary Care Limited is seeking a Chef Manager for Allanbank Care Home in Dumfries to lead the kitchen, ensure nutritious, restaurant-quality meals, and maintain high standards within a supportive, balanced work environment.

You will oversee a small team, manage inventory and costs while caring for older residents with dietary needs, all in a role that emphasizes development and quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience catering for the dietary needs of older people.
• Friendly, approachable by guests and staff.
• Confidence leading and supporting a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day to day running of the kitchen, supporting an Assistant Chef and Catering Assistants
• Prepare and cook meals that meet individual dietary requirements for older people
• Manage stock and waste while working within budget
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety and compliance through regular checks and risk assessments
• Recruit, train and support the catering team to help them grow and succeed
