Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd. is recruiting a Chef Manager for a secondary school in London. The role covers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (42 weeks) with a £38,000 salary and free meals on duty.

You will lead a team of 7, oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, allergens and stock management, and work closely with students, staff and parents to deliver nutritious meals. Passion for fresh, quality food, strong hygiene standards, and a hands-on leadership style are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach in kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety.
• Sous chef or Chef Manager experience in education preferred, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of 7 in a secondary school kitchen.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, including allergens, stock and ordering.
• Build rapport with children, staff and parents.

Job details:

• Chef Manager to core feed 500 students a day.
• Chef Manager to lead and motivate a team of 7.
• Chef Manager to build rapport with children, staff and parents.
