Job summary

Enhance Catering is supporting a valued client in recruiting a Chef Manager to lead the catering operation at one of their multi-outlet education establishments. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands-on chef who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high-quality food service.

You will be an experienced Chef Manager or strong Head Chef ready to step up, with excellent cooking and people-management skills.

Qualifications

• Culinary qualification and food safety awareness.
• Experience leading kitchen teams in high-volume environments.
• Strong management and planning skills for daily service.

Responsibilities

• Catering 1,000–1,300 covers daily across breakfast, morning break, and lunch.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal meals to a high standard.
• Lead, motivate and develop the catering team.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety and due diligence requirements.
• Build positive relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients.
• Oversee stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation.
• Drive food quality, consistency and presentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands‑on chef who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high‑quality food service.

You will be an experienced Chef Manager or Strong Head Chef ready to step up, with excellent cooking and people‑management skills. You take pride in running a well‑organised, efficient kitchen and are confident producing high‑quality meals at volume.

What You'll be doing

• Catering between 1,000 to 1,300 covers daily across breakfast, morning break, lunch services
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal food to a consistently high standard
• Manage, motivate, and develop the catering team
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and due diligence requirements
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
• Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation

What Is On Offer

• Pay Rates - £35,000 per annum
• Working Hours - 45 hours per week | 7am to 4.30pm | Monday to Friday
• Working Weeks - 42

Essential Requirement for this role:

• Stable career history i.e. longevity in a full time Head Chef or Chef Manager role (Ideally B&I or Education - medium| high volume)
