Duties:

1. Classroom teaching, tutorial work, outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses, and student placements
2. Organisational and administrative work, preparation, marking, and student welfare and academic counselling
3. Acting as a Personal Tutor and providing pastoral care
4. Contributing to team-based learning and teaching
5. Implementing student-centred negotiated learning programs
6. Managing student induction procedures
7. Ensuring clear communication of expectations and program details to students
8. Setting, assessing, and providing feedback on assignments and activities
9. Organising work placements

Skills/Experience:

• Effective communication with diverse groups
• Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Good IT skills (ECDL or equivalent)
• Industry experience and knowledge

Qualifications:

• Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent
• Level 4 qualification in relevant area (or commitment to achieve within timeframe)
• Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within timeframe)
