Duties:

• Classroom teaching, tutorial work, outreach duties, residential, open, and distance learning courses, and student placements
• Organizational and administrative work, preparation, marking, and student welfare and academic counseling responsibilities
• Acting as a Personal Tutor, providing pastoral care and support
• Contributing to the team approach to learning and teaching
• Implementing student-centered negotiated learning programs in accordance with the College’s curriculum framework
• Implementing induction procedures and processes for students
• Ensuring students are informed of expectations and program details at each stage
• Setting and assessing assignments and activities, providing feedback for student development and progression
• Organizing work placements

Skills/Experience:

• Effective communication with diverse groups across all ages and levels
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Good knowledge of IT tools (ECDL or equivalent)
• Industry experience and knowledge, demonstrating motivation and professionalism

Qualifications:

• Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Math or equivalent
• Level 4 qualification in relevant area (or commitment to achieve within timeframe)
• Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within timeframe)
