The Chef Lecturer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester within the Trafford & Stockport College Group. The postholder will plan, deliver, and assess engaging culinary arts and professional cookery lessons across a range of levels, ensuring learning outcomes are clearly defined and achieved. Day-to-day duties include preparing schemes of work and lesson plans, delivering practical kitchen sessions and classroom-based theory, supervising learners in commercial or training kitchens, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The Chef Lecturer will develop learning materials, provide constructive feedback on assignments, support learners’ progression and wellbeing, and contribute to course development and curriculum review in line with industry trends. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in team meetings and quality assurance processes, engaging with employers to enhance work experience opportunities, and supporting enrichment activities and events related to hospitality and catering.
