Dumfries & Galloway College is seeking a Chef Instructor to deliver practical cooking and baking courses, helping learners develop essential kitchen skills and culinary confidence. You will teach a range of courses and workshops, from basic to specialist formats.

The role requires current industry qualifications and strong communication, with training provided for teaching methods. A full UK driving licence is desirable for site-based deliveries.

Qualifications

• Current, relevant qualifications and significant industry experience in catering/hospitality.
• Experience delivering training or accredited courses is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and passion for helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical cooking and baking courses to learners of all levels.
• Lead hands-on sessions and specialist workshops (street food, curries, pasta, pizza).
• Provide training and support to develop teaching skills.
