Job description

About The Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering Butlins' food propositions.

You will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes according to set recipes and brand standards.

In this role, you will oversee and manage small teams of commis chefs, ensuring the delivery of quality food in compliance with food safety policies. You will be enrolled in our award-winning Butlins Chef Academy to develop your skills in a fun and educational environment, supporting your career progression.

As a Chef de Partie, you will deputise in the absence of the sous chef, manage daily operations in your section, and ensure efficiency and safety compliance. You will maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations, and exemplify these standards to your team.

You will also prepare and cook dishes based on pre-approved recipes, complete relevant daily food diaries, and assist in controlling budget margins with support from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving, understanding their role's value in enhancing guest experience by unlocking team potential.

It is essential to have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will also be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards.

This is a full-time, permanent role, offering a guaranteed 35 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends and late finishes. Shifts vary between 7 am and midnight.

On-resort accommodation can be provided for those relocating.
