  • Salary: Up to £33,000
  • Location: High security clearance location, London

    Salary: up to £32,000 per annum

    40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

    • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef, ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times.
    • Station Management: Oversee the production of all dishes assigned to your station and maintain your designated area with supplies, ensuring cleanliness in line with policies and procedures.
    • Quality Control: Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, considering presentation and taste at all times.
    • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all team members and assist/support colleagues where necessary.
    • Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to develop and taste new recipes, providing suggestions for improvement or innovation.
    • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including your designated area, and ensure equipment is in good working order.

    Requirements include proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role, knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines, strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities. Candidates should work according to BaxterStorey’s core values.
