Job summary

De Vere Latimer Estate in Chesham is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a busy kitchen brigade. You will own a section, cook and present dishes to a high standard while ensuring service runs smoothly. You will also mentor Commis and Demi Chefs, helping them grow their confidence and skills.

You’ll work across breakfast, lunches, restaurants, and events, with a focus on cleanliness, food hygiene and HACCP. Shifts include evenings and weekends on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef within a busy kitchen environment.
• Confident running your own section and delivering consistently high standards during service.
• Great eye for detail and pride in the food you prepare and present.
• Enjoy being part of a brigade and supporting less experienced chefs to develop.
• Organised and able to work calmly and efficiently when service gets busy.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your section, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Support Commis and Demi Chefs to develop their skills and confidence.
• Ensure your section is organised and ready for service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and health & safety.
• Work with the brigade to ensure service runs smoothly.
• Work across a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
