Craft Locals - The Grand Junction Arms in Hertfordshire is seeking a Chef de Partie to lead a section and deliver fresh seasonal dishes. You’ll work with the kitchen team to maintain high standards and support senior staff, while enjoying a friendly, food-led pub environment.

You’ll be joining a growing independent pub group that values skill development, training, and a clear path to Sous Chef, with perks and share of card tips as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CDP or strong Commis ready to step up.
• Organised and reliable with great attention to detail.
• Passionate about fresh ingredients and seasonal cooking.
• A team player with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ambitious to progress towards more senior chef roles.

Responsibilities

• Running your own section with consistency and pride.
• Preparing fresh, seasonal dishes to spec and high standards.
• Working closely with the Sous and Head Chef on new dishes and specials.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and compliant at all times.
• Supporting junior chefs and learning from senior team members.
• Contributing ideas for menus and improving processes.
