Job summary

Craft Locals is a growing independent pub group by the canal at Bulbourne near Tring. We seek a Chef de Partie to run a section, cook fresh seasonal dishes to spec and work with the Sous and Head Chef on menus and specials.

You'll earn £13.50–£14.50 per hour (equivalent to £30,900–£33,200 per year) plus a share of card tips, with perks including 50% off food, 20% off drinks, 28 days holiday, staff discount and regular development opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDP experience in a fresh‑food kitchen or readiness to step up from Commis.
• Organised and detail‑oriented.
• Passionate about seasonal cooking and fresh ingredients.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ambitious to progress to more senior chef roles.

Responsibilities

• Run your own section with consistency and pride.
• Prepare fresh seasonal dishes to spec.
• Collaborate with Sous and Head Chef on new dishes.
• Keep kitchen clean, safe and compliant.
• Support junior chefs and learn from seniors.
• Contribute ideas for menus and process improvements.
