The Museum of Making, operated by Derby Museums, is seeking a Chef De Partie to join the kitchen brigade at our Derby site. You will manage a section of the fresh food kitchen, work with locally sourced produce, and contribute to café service and event catering.

Responsibilities include stocking, prep, and coordinating across sections during busy service. Experience in a fresh food kitchen is preferred, with a passion for learning and teamwork encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen at any level.
• 2 years’ experience as a Commis Chef or Junior CDP preferable, but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Collect and prepare fresh fish from local markets.
• Help manage and organise stock.
• Rotate between kitchen sections and manage a specific area during busy cafe and corporate service.
• Support events catering for groups from 10 to 200 guests and maintain cafe service.
• Comply with Derby Museums’ standards and Hospitality Charter.
