Job summary

De Vere Wokefield Estate in Mortimer, Reading is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a busy kitchen team. You’ll take ownership of your section, prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard across breakfast, conferences, weddings and events.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week with overtime paid. You’ll mentor junior chefs, maintain high food hygiene standards and contribute to an exceptional guest experience. Benefits include meals on duty, leisure club access, and annual awards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef within a busy kitchen environment.
• Confident running your own section and delivering high standards during service.
• Great eye for detail and pride in food prepared and presented.
• Enjoy mentoring less experienced chefs to develop their skills and confidence.
• Organised and able to work calmly and efficiently when service gets busy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard across multiple dining experiences.
