Job summary

Scarlet Kitchen in Cornwall is seeking a Chef de Partie to join a talented team. You will run your section with confidence, craft seasonal dishes from local Cornish ingredients, and support senior chefs to maintain high standards in a luxury coastal hotel kitchen.

The role offers £13.10–£14.39 per hour with tips, a 4-day week, and a focus on balance, energy and career growth in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to step up.
• Passion for fresh, seasonal and sustainably sourced food.
• Calm under pressure with great attention to detail.
• A positive team player with a strong work ethic.
• Food Safety Level 2 (essential)
• NVQ Level 2 Professional Cookery or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Run your section with confidence, consistency and care.
• Prepare and present beautifully crafted dishes using exceptional local ingredients.
• Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety.
• Bring creativity and ideas to menu development.
• Help mentor and support junior chefs.
• Work closely with front-of-house to deliver memorable guest experiences.
